  •  “Such” is used as a determiner.

SUCH + ADJ + NOUN

  • He’s such an intelligent boy!
  • Jim and Sue are such a perfect couple.

SUCH + A/AN + ADJ + SINGULAR NOUN + THAT

  • It is used to express a cause and effect.
    • It was such a great day that I couldn’t forget.
    • Jill is such a kind girl that everybody loves her.
    • This island is such a wonderful place that it attracts thousands of tourists every year.

    SUCH + PLURAL/ UNCOUNTABLE NOUN + THAT

  • It is used to express a cause and effect.
    • He has such interesting books that everybody wants to borrow.
    • This restaurant has such delicious food that it’s always crowded with people.
